Botanical Sciences (Sociedad Botánica de México), is a peer-reviewed and indexed journal for scientific diffusion in Botany. It is a quarterly publication that comes out in March, June, September, and December. It is freely circulated online by various electronic means and is indexed in the JCR, Scopus, DOAJ, SciELO, among others.
Botanical Sciences welcomes contributions that present original, previously unpublished results in Botany, including disciplines such as ecology and evolution, structure and function, systematics and taxonomy, in addition to other areas related to the study of plants. Research reviews are also accepted if they summarize recent advances in a subject, discipline, area, or developmental trend of botany; these should include an analytical, critical, and interpretative approach to a specific topic. Acceptance for reviews will be evaluated first by the Review Editor. Opinion Notes and Book Reviews are also published as long as a relevant contribution in the study of Botany is explained and supported. Botanical Sciences is open to publishing special editions or sections through a prior agreement with the Editor-in-Chief.
Manuscripts are published in English or Spanish, with prior approval of the Editorial Committee and after an independent review process by academic peers to guarantee the quality of the scientific work. Manuscripts should be prepared in accordance with the "Instructions for authors" found on the journal's website.
A goal of Botanical Sciences is to promote networks of exchange and cooperation through the publication of scientific and thematic articles related to the field of Botany, as well as contribute to the knowledge of its main disciplines in Mexico and surrounding regions. Contributions are also evaluated from any institution of another region and country that helps to strengthen this network of exchange and cooperation.
It should be noted that Botanical Sciences uses plagiarism detection software, accepting coincidence values lower of 15% with other texts.
The manuscripts must be submitted through the OJS, where you will find the Instructions for authors.
