Abstract

Research in recent decades has demonstrated that the classification of phanerogams is more rational if the thesis of the American Edwin Bassey is accepted, substantiated by phytogenic studies on the antiquity and descent of the phanerogams, pretending that the Dicotyledons were the first types to appear and that the Monocots arose from them in a later period.
